KONYA SUGAR IS 27TH IN Türkiye IN SECTOR RANKING, KONYA IS FIRST.
IN GENERAL EXPORTS LIST, IT WAS RANKED 319TH IN EXPORT, WITH AN INCREASE OF MORE THAN 10 PERCENT COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
The “Top 1000 Exporters” Research report, which is carried out every year by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), has been published. According to the data, while enterprises from 51 provinces were among the top 1000 exporting companies in 2022, Istanbul was the leader with 448 companies. Last year, Turkey exported 254 billion dollars of goods and 90 billion dollars of services, increasing its total foreign sales to 344 billion dollars.
5 COMPANIES FROM KONYA ARE LISTED
5 companies that are members of Konya Chamber of Industry were included in the announced list. SSP Automotive Aydınlar Spare Parts (121st) from Konya, Konya Şeker San.Tic. Inc. (319.), Eti Aluminum (371.), YPS Global Automotive (624.), Hilal Deri Sakadat Meat Mamulleri (925.) companies took place in the top 1000.
Turkey's producing power, Konya Şeker Anonim Şirketi, which ranks 27th in the list in the sectoral ranking, became the first in its sector in Konya.
EXPORTS OF KONYA SUGAR INCREASED 10.2 PERCENT
In the overall export ranking of Turkey, Konya Seker increased its export figure by 10.2% compared to the previous year and achieved another important success by taking the 319th place with a figure of $93,546,072.81. Konya Seker had exported ………………..dollars in 2021. Considering the dollar rate, the success in exports in 2022 is dazzling.
Ramazan Erkoyuncu, Chairman of the Union of Beet Growers Cooperatives (PANKOBIRLIK) and Chairman of the Board of the Konya Beet Growers Cooperative, stated that as Konya Seker, they export to many countries from China to America, from America to Russia, under the Torku brand. We have an export close to 150 million dollars, we export products in close to 700 different items. When we look at the figures of 2022, we achieved an increase of more than 10 percent compared to the previous year. I congratulate all the companies on the list that add value to our country. More companies should be included in the list in Turkey. Our effort will be to increase our quality and reliable product item, the number of countries we export to and the export figures. We aim to reach 300-400 million dollars in 5 years."
TORKU ALSO LEADS ABROAD
Adding that the interest in the products exported with the Torku brand of Konya Şeker A.Ş., a subsidiary of Anadolu Birlik Holding, has increased, PANKOBIRLIK Chairman Erkoyuncu said, "Torku products, which are the preferred and reliable food brand in many studies, surveys and researches in the country, are also great abroad. There is an interest and demand because there is a trust in our quality. We continue to produce beet sugar, additive-free, for domestic and foreign markets, without sacrificing quality, with our facilities that have also received the TSE Sustainable Safe Production Certificate. This makes us proud on behalf of our country. We plan to increase our target to 300-400 million dollars export figures," he said.
