Third Prize from Samsun to Şair Şaşma

Cemal Safi Poetry Contest, organized by Samsun Ilkadım Municipality for the fourth time this year, has been concluded. Unity - Togetherness, Brotherhood and Solidarity, organized for the fourth time this year in order to commemorate and keep alive the name of the late Poet Cemal Safi from Samsun, who left a considerable mark on poetry and music, two distinguished branches of art, and took a rightful place in Turkish Literature. Poet İbrahim Şaşma Devran, who participated in the competition in which his soul was the subject, was deemed worthy of the third prize with his poem named Devran. In the competition, in which 11 Honor Awards were given on behalf of our cities damaged due to the earthquake that took place on February 6, 2023, and an amount of material awards appreciated by Ilkadım Municipality on behalf of the awarded poets were donated to Afad to be used in the earthquake zone, the Karaman poet Şaşma was awarded the Adıyaman Honor Award.

In his statement to our press organization, Şair Şama stated that he is very honored by this degree he has achieved, and that he will continue to write with the same enthusiasm and determination with the slogan of "Continue on the Road" in order to leave qualified works in Turkish literature and to wave the Language Flag of Karaman province in different geographies.
